It is advisble to only use the proper Antibloom Thinner in Cellulose paint. Standard Thinner should only be used in Cellulose Primer, and as a cleaning solvent.)
The mixing ratio for Cellulose paint is 1 parts paint to 1 parts thinner.)
We have extensive experience in custom mixing paint. However there are factors beyond our control that can appear to affect the colour match. These include the possiblility that the sun and or other elements have faded your vehicles paint since it was manufactured. We can therefore not guarantee an exact match with your existing paint. In over 95% of cases the colour difference is totally undetectable! We always recommend painting a test area first)
Generally the colour code from the vehicle and year of manufacturer denote which type of paint should be used. We will then send you the appropriate paint unless any different specified.)
In stock orders placed before 12:00PM are despatched the same day (Providing we have all information required to process the order). If an item you've ordered is not in stock we'll let you know by email. Most out of stock items can be back ordered and delivered to you within 4-5 working days.)
Data sheets are available for most of the products we sell on our site. Most paint etc will be sent out with a data sheet, if you require a data sheet for a certain product just contact us by e-mail (care@paints4u.com) or give us a ring to request the appropriate information.)
If the bumper is as standard, with no paint on already then you need to degrease it first so as the plastic primer will adhere to it. If it is already painted and your just repairing it, then as long as you don't go down to bare plastic when preparing it then a normal Grey, Red or White primer will be fine.)
Depending on how deep the scratches are, sometimes they can be compounded out by using G3 Advanced compound. If they are deeper then sometimes a touch up pot of the correct colour would be ideal, to just touch up over the scratces. Or you could even try the Farecla Scratch Repair kit.)
A primer should never be left too long before applying your topcoat, as the primer will absorb moisture. Which means when you apply the top coat, it will push it off and may have a reaction. Same goes for leaving the topcoat too long before applying a lacquer (if necessary). Always apply topcoat as soon as the primer is dry enough. If you do leave it over night, then you may need to slightly rub it down and add an extra coat prior to putting on your top coat.)
Stopper is a lot finer, and for filling in minor imperfections, such as tiny pinholes. Filler is stronger and for a lot larger areas. If you are wanting to fill a large gap in a panel, a bridging filler will be your best option, which contains fibre glass particles for extra strength.

All our products are cover by a 7 day peace of mind guarantee. If you buy something that you've changed your mind about, you can return it to us UNOPENED with any seals etc in tact, excluding custom mixed paint. A full refund (Excluding P&P) will then be given. A re-stocking fee may be applied
We will not refund a custom made product that doesn't match your vehicle (unless the error is ours). If the error is ours we will either refund all the monies paid for the goods, including delivery charges, or we will send you a replacement at our own cost. We always recommend spraying/painting a test card prior to application. Therefore we will not accept any liability for remedial works.
In the very unlikely event that you buy something from us that is faulty, please email us in the first instance. If the fault cannot be corrected by us we will ask you to return the product to us for a full refund or replacement.
****Please note only two delivery attempts will be made by our couriers. They will not leave deliveries without a signature unless this is arranged with us in advance. After two attempts you are soley responsible for collecting your order from your nearest City Link depot within 2 working days. If you fail to do this you will be charged £5.75 for returning the parcel to Paints4u. You will then have to pay for a redelivery (even if the first delivery was free!). You can always have a delivery sent to a work/alternate address if required****)

ORDERS OVER £60
All orders over £60 are delivered free of charge if the total weight of the consignment is less than [%2]kgs. (To most of the UK Excluding some areas of Scotland and Northern Ireland)
For orders where the consignment weight is over [%2]kgs, the delivery charge will be [%3]p for each kg/or part kg over [%2]kgs.
ORDERS UNDER £60
Choosing 1 (next working day, Saturday is not classed as a working day) Day by Courier will cost £7.99 up to 10Kgs and [%3]p per kilo over 10Kgs
Choosing 3 Days by Post will cost between £2.50 and £5.25 depending on weight.
Postal option will only be given as an option if the goods are suitable to be posted.
Please note deliveries to some areas of scotland will take an extra day, so next day deliveries may take 48hrs and 3 day deliveries may take 4 days.

FREE DELIVERY
For orders that have Free Delivery but under £60 will be a 3 day courier delivery.
Orders placed after 2:00pm may be processed the following business day.
Our next day courier delivery is not a timed service and can be anytime that day. We cannot be held responsible for deliveries made late by the courier. We do monitor their performance and work with them to ensure our deliveries are made on time. Our courier delivers 98% of our orders on time.

You don't have to be a professional to achieve a showroom finish. Thanks to the quality of paints lacquers on the market you can save a fortune when touching up a slight damage or respraying repaired bodywork. The key to effective paint work is preparation and patience - compromise on eithrer and the repair will be glaringly obvious.
Products needed: Abrasive paper, rust treatment, filler (if required), masking tape, primer, paint (Lacquer if required), and compound.
1: It is always advisable to do the repair in warm and dry weather conditions, or in a garage.
2: If there is a hole which needs repairing, use a suitable bodyfiller or stopper to fill the gap and wait for it to fully dry. After that sand down with an abrasive paper to smooth off the filler ready for primer application. Mask off areas to be painted.
3: To prepare for spraying sand down damaged or filled area, and apply suitable primer reapply a couple of coats at 15min intervals, until the area is even......)
Slowly covering edges of the original paint to make the repaired area blend in.
4: Always use a smooth side to side motion, and always hold the can at 25cms away from the surface. It is best to apply several light coats, as applying to much too soon can cause runs and sags.
5: Once the primer is fully dried, shake the colour aerosol vigorously for at least 2minutes to ensure the colour is mixed properly. Apply a number of coats at 15minute intervals shaking the can before each coat. (Some metallic colours and pearlescents may require a coloured groundcoat ontop of the primer before applying the topcoat.)
6: If your using a metallic colour allow the paint to fully dry before applying the clearcoat gloss topcoat.
7: The drying times depend on the type of paint, the thickness of coats and the temperature.
8: The finished area made need buffing up with a good compound (G3 Liquid), especially on an old and maybe faded car.)
We do not supply any products to anyone under 18. Anyone paying with a debit card may be asked for proof of age (As these cards can be issued to children as young as 11 years old).)
We only supply aerosols in the standard shade. This is usually close enough for minor repairs using our touchup products. However, when using aerosols the differences between the standard and non standard shade can be more significant. If you find you are not happy with the standard shade, we will send out any variant requested at half price (and half price postage).)
When the courier has tried to deliver unsuccessfully and left a card, you MUST call the number on the card and arrange another delivery date. If you do not do this the package will be held at the courier depot for 3 days before another attempt is made.)
We are now able to send internationally. European prices start from £15, rest of the world around £35. The maximum weight of the order is 15 kilos. Delivery times vary from 3days to 11 days. Please contact Care@paints4u.com for price and leadtime. If you order on the website you will only be charged the UK delivery rates. We will contact you by e-mail with an updated price and delivery estimate prior to order processing.)
